This movie was stressful. Mostly because it did accurately portray the satin-induced psychosis that some women seem to go through when planning their wedding. Um, reminder - it's ONE DAY. And if you want your friends to support you through the rest of your marriage an $800 dress is not ok. But, back to this movie. The acting was really good. Seriously, the women in this movie are funny and the improv is candid. But the rest (script, editing, costumes, set....) fell flat for me. There were a few lines that did make me laugh out loud which is rare, but did anyone else feel like the movie got cut in half right about the time they DIDN'T go to Vegas? There was some weird editing happening.
I mean, who wrote this? Was it a guy? Sure sounds like a guy wrote it. Here's why.....Her life was in the toilet, she made a mess of her friendships, and really it only became better because she met a guy? The subplot with the cop was cute, but it carried the movie and I almost felt like it would've been better as a rom-com where the story is told from the guy's perspective of dating a women who's going through a hilatious bridesmaid ordeal. It fell flat for me. It was depressing. And it gave me anxiety.
