Today taught me ....

1. I hate malls. I don't like the surge of people that enter them. I don't like the way people zig-zag, turn around, or stop mid-stride. I don't like the lack of sales people when you need them and the abundance of them when you don't (ahem Foot Locker!). I don't like the teens that hang out there - um, where are your parents and don't you have chores to do? PLAY OUTSIDE. Yes, I'm saying it.... I prefer to shop online. Victoria's Secret, Gap, Banana Republic, you name it. I can find it online and there is no need to try and squeeze into something in a 2x2 room. SWEET!

2. Glasses are expensive. Seriously, how is it that the appointment with the optometrist was 1/4 the price of the glasses. Shouldn't the health of my eyes and their subsequent diagnosis of astigmatism with UV sensitivity cost more than the plastic that I will look through? What's wrong with this picture. Today I spent a mortgage payment on glasses to read with and another pair to drive with - because of course those can't be the same pair.

3. If you wear red, people will naturally look in your direction.

4. Sizing of clothes is silly. I wonder if there's an international organization like the ISO that dictates how sizing is determined. If there is, they are either failing or no organization is paying attention. I range from a small to an XL on any given day. One minute I'm a size 8, then next a 14. If everyone could get on board and standardize things, it would help with my online shopping. Pretty please.

5. Orange will never know her name but Sito will always answer to it.

6. I am grateful for the friends I have been able to keep in touch with no matter how often I move. Today I got an invite to the wedding for Josh and Amelia. It's a ways off (2012), but it's in the Dominican and promises to be a blast!

7. I don't like superficial people. I mean, we all check ourselves out in the mirror. But if you're one of those people who are wholly concerned with the aesthetics of themselves or others to the point that you openly mock someone you don't know for their fashion choice or haircut, we won't get along. What will you do if they are ever confronted with something that causes them to not afford designer clothes, gain weight, lose a tooth, grow a mole, or something worse? How will you cope?

8. I should not do yoga/Pilates three days in a row and then expect to be mobile. Still loving life at Shas Studio and looking forward to my sesh with the Russian tomorrow morning.

9. No matter how many times my Mum tells me she and Pops are going to be away, I will always call home and wonder where they are ... and then have to BBM my sis to ask her.

10. I really like my life. And I like (and appreciate) that these are the biggest issues in my life. I'm lucky.
