Three muscles previously unknown in my back discovered. A good friend invited me to join her in a pilates class at Shas Yoga & Pilates Studio near Dupont Station. The place is small but airy and with a max class size of 9, provides more than enough room to stretch out - important when your wingspan is as big as mine.
This was my first class. I'd done yoga and fusion classes at the Extreme Fitness on Richmond when I worked downtown but now that I work from home, rushing downtown just isn't an option. The class was good. Tough. But, the instructor didn't do so many reps that you were exhausted and frustrated and falling over which is always key to keeping me motivated through the hour. I mean, in order for me to develop a core I need to find the bloody thing first. This could take some time people.
All in all, I give it an 8/10 for a first try and am looking forward to going again and seeing what else I can do.
